Unaccompanied minor service

For underage passengers traveling without an adult companion, Azerbaijan Airlines offers an "Unaccompanied Minor" service, which allows children and minors to travel alone accompanied by company personnel.

The service is only available on flights actually operated by Azerbaijan Airlines. Flights operated by other carriers, even if in code share with Azerbaijan Airlines, do not provide this type of assistance. The accompanying service cannot also be provided if the trip includes connections with transfers between different airports / terminals.

For all children over 5 years old but not over 14, the service is compulsory. All children under the age of 5, on the other hand, must travel with an adult.

Minors can travel with their own relative or tutor as long as they have a written proxy from one of the parents, in which the latter authorizes the child to leave with a specific person. For more details on how this proxy must be completed, we suggest you contact the consular authorities in your country.

When requesting the "Accompaniment minors" service, it is necessary to communicate the personal details, telephone number, residential address and the number of an identification document of the person accompanying the minor to the airport of departure and of the one who will be to pick up at the airport of arrival. The accompanying minors service must be requested at least 72 hours before the departure date and must be explicitly confirmed by company staff.

The minor's companion, for safety reasons, must remain at the airport until the flight on which the minor is on board takes off.
